Wheat Sweater (English)

Wheat sweater is worked bottom up in one strand of fingering weight merino and one strand of lace weight mohair. A structural pattern resembling wheatears is repeated throughout the work. First, the body is worked to the desired length, then the sleeves, before all the parts are gathered on the needle and the yoke is knitted with raglan decreases. Finally, stitches are picked up for the neckline, which can be knitted high or low depending on your preference. Apart from a small seam under the sleeves, the sweater is assembly-free.
